I've seen pic on here of several cars w/ the SHO in the body molding filled in (silver SHO w/ black lettering). I was wondering if you guys(and girls) have painted these in, are they vinyl lettering? What?
Thanks! I'll look into it further. Mine was a one-owner owned here in Arkansas, but it was a dirt-road car. I've spent hours sucking dirt out of little nooks and crannies, tighting up everything that rattles, etc. My point is that muddy dirt roads aren't good for rust and corrosion so I MAY be...
I'm fairly new to the SHO world - I've been reading these posts about the recall. I contacted Ford when I bought my '95 and they said there isn't any open recalls. Does the recall all of you are talking about effect my '95 or was it certain years?
Thanks
Thanks Scott - I really think that's the problem. The previous owner apparently took my SHO down a dirt road or two judging from all of the dust I've sucked out of the carpeting, etc. I'm almost positive the speedometer is the thing making all of the noise. I took the dash apart the other day...
Sorry for my ignorance, but what is VSS? I'm hearing a "buzzing/ratchet" sound and the speadometer needle jiggles so I've determined the funny noise must be coming from the cable. Do you grease them? Is mine coming lose?
I've looked in several repair manuals and can't find any info on even...
Changed the fuel filter and also discovered one of the plug wires wasn't connecting down in the well correctly. I guess the spark had been arching up to the wire tip - - Anyway, it's fixed temporarily until I can get new plug wires in. Thanks for all the help.
OK, I put up a post a couple of days ago about a squeak coming from the right front wheel - it doesn't do it though when I'm moving say 10-15 mph in a parking lot.....I noticed that my speedometer is "jiggling" all the way up to around 50 mph and then it's a steady needle. I think the squeaking...
OK...one more question. When I got in the car this afternoon the radio presets and audio settings were cleared. When I turned it on it was on the "am" setting as if the battery had been disconnected. Not sure if this is just a feak ground loss or what. Is this something that commonly occurs or...
Got a clock today at a salvage yard ($4)...fixed it. Works perfectly...the dealer wanted $48 for the freakin thing. Now I can put my other head unit back in that matched my dash lights :)
Thanks for the help guys.
Again, thanks for the advise. I just got the tires put on Tuesday and it was doing this when I bought the car last week w/ the old tires on it. I'll check about the weights being put on the outside and inside of the wheels. ....
The guys I had put the tires on are good guys and know there...
