stumbling, bucking below 3,000rpm
started having problems of the car stumbling bad around 1500 to 3000 rpm. it is mostly in 1st gear. definitely no power when throttling other than normal load. just put in taylor wires, motorcraft platinum plugs, and cam or cylinder position sensor. i've read the other messages and see throttle...- roscoepet

thanks for the continued effort. when i did my shims yesterday, i had several shims in spec but toward end of allowable. but the big news was i had two shims on exhaust cam on rear band that were out of spec. i am so glad i did the shims, if not disappointed that the noise remains. got back in...- roscoepet

i just did the valve shim adjustment hoping the diesel noise would go away but it didn't. i keep reading about the cam chain tensioner. the plastic guide that is mentioned in the forum is that the tensioner or is it the whole assy. how many hours work to replace and any special tools needed? how...- roscoepet

my 92 mtx does the same thing. reading the other messages tells me i need a valve lash adjustment. one or more of the valve shims are out of specs. just ordered the shim kit and tools from cincysho. this should fix my problem. should be the same situation for you. hope this helps- roscoepet
