You know how everyone tells you to not do burnouts and your trannyt will be OK??
Well, if you have a bad CV joint, it will stick and causing basically the same issue as when you do a burn out, one side of the differental spins faster then the other.
I blew 2 trannys due to this.
Thankfully I...
I have somewhat a similar problem, except mines not as pronounce.
Everytime I turn wheel, it squeks as its turning.
I have new tie rods and steering rack.
I'm pretty certain it's the strut bearings causing the squek and the surging in the steering as I turn to the right. It's probably the...
My tranny diff pin jumped through the tranny @ 103K. Replaced tranny and it happend again 2 weeks later.
Ended up replacing both axles/CV joints along with a new tranny and haven't had that problem since. (It BETTER not happen again)
It's extremly important to make sure your CV joints are in...
Sorry to hear this man.
I don't want to salt the wound, but when you over revved it, how far did it take to do this to the clutch?
Did you miss a gear?
Is there a common or well heard of reason that the check engine light would just come on and off randomly?
Car in question is a 90.
It will go on for 5 min. Then turn off for another 10.
Cycle repeats itself.
I've cleaned air filter, and reset codes by unplugging negative terminal on...
I'm one of those ******** that would have made you have 1 running sho instead of 2. wink
And sure enough, after your ranting about people like me that have been down your road 2 fold, you were wrong.
BTW, water wetter did absolutly nothing for my coolent temps. But 7 bucks isn't that big of...
So pakisho, are you proposing that the reason behind our temp reading suddenly “fixing” themselves is because the temp sending unit going bad and our temps are actually higher then we think?
It’s a valid assumption, the gauges work by measuring variances in a circuit.
So the temp sender unit...
Everyone has rights, were all exercising them, even me.
Please sell your SHO and get an acura.
Good Day.

Another thought,
This may be a long shot, but has anyone ever thought about why the normal is so broad on the SHO's?
Have you ever seen an auto with such a wide normal range?
Maybe there's a reason for this??
Naww, I think I'll just keep posting these threads...
You should just let it fun and not worry about cleaning in the inside of your engine.
Engines form deposits and paths for oil to flow through.
To clean this might give you the opposite results then what your looking for.
Just like sticking Synthetic oil on an engine with over 100K, it's just...
Is projectSHO89 the only person here with some sense?
Everyone's been down this road before, replace what you will, but you will find it won't do anything.
I eventually gave up as well, then all of a sudden my gauge now never reaches above the middle mark, it's been that way for over a year...
I've ran nothing but GTX 5-30 in all my cars with great success.
I've never seen the need to run synthetic oil, to expensive.
Is it true that you can run fully synthetic oil up to 6,000 miles?
Even if it was true, I still would change my oil at 3K. So it would cost to much for synthetic...
