On My 5th Tranny Wtf???

Yeah they fluched the cooler and have checked the flow...its all good.........usually when the tranny is about to got out it will shift really hard at times.....also when comming to a fast stop you can really feel it downshifting, but this is usually right before it goes out

On My 5th Tranny Wtf???

i drive a 94 ATX and ever since i had an engine swap (rod bearings went out) it keeps eating up the trannys, they last about 2-5 months and then they are shot......usually burning up the clutches. everytime they install a new torque conv. too. i know the E4 isnt exactly a "good" tranny but...

general idea of cost to...

i picked up a salvage 90k engine for a 3.2 atx for $400, had new main bearings, seals, rodbearings installed. i also installed a new tq converter with labor..(pulling old motor/installing new) my total bill was 2200 from ford

Engine miss firing?

hey guys ive posted on her one before and ive read all the posts on leaking plug seals ect. Anyways i just would like your guys opinion. Here is my problem all my plug wells have oil in them, which i an goin to fix soon along w/new plugs and wires. but my questionis this is this the...

replacing plug seals

Hey guys thanks for your replys on my atx probs., like you said the sho atx's arnt knowen to be that great.i think my problem was that i was on a concrete road and the tires were breakin loose and then grabbing, which in effect gave it the feeling the tranny was shifting improper.. my bad...

94 ATX help!

ok i just got my 94 atx back from the ford dealer. they did an engine swap because i had spun the rod bearings. I also had ford put in new rod bearings, mains in the used engine(95k) i bought. i mentioned to check the value lash(60K) but they said i wouldnt need it and that it would be a waste...

HID Headlight Wannabe Preview

Hey man the lights look sweet! However, you stated that you used plexiglass to make them. I dont know how well that will hold up against scratches and what not. You might need a lot of mother plastic polish. lexan, more expensive probably would of been a better material..
