    I had powder coated the body of it once but it did not stick very well. I think it really needs to be sandblasted first before the powder coating will stick to the chrome very well.

    No rust, just grime; the previous owners were horrid slobs. The 3.2 had about 80k miles on it when I pulled it. I completely rebuilt it with with all new mains, rod, and rod bearings. Everything works and it runs, shifts, and drives great. The only thing I would change for a really long road...

    You can just keep the later style handles though. It is possible to swap the tumblers from the old locks to the new ones.
