    Well i didnt smell it, guess i should have! But when i wiped it off the cat when the car was jacked it felt awfull sticky and kinda thick so maybee it is power steering fluid, unless from the heat of the cat it made the oil feel like that?

    Steering creaking....

    Well guys its a fix to me, it doesnt make noise anymore and so what if i have to **** it up again in a week or two or three, it only takes 10 minutes. I will do a real fix in the spring when its not so damn cold out!

    Well i got rid of the groan and creaking in the front end today. What i did was jack up the drivers side, loosen the top strut tower nuts so the strut would drop down a little.     Yes i think it definitly is the upper strut mount or rubber. i found an article on shotimes.com under care and maintenance that describes exactly what mine is doing and how to fix it. Im gonna give it a try.:)

    Maybee i am calling it the wrong thing... the place where the strut rod goes into where the strut came out of, nuckle right? Well i have the strut off and i didnt have to remove the nuckle and i dont want to if i dont have to to replace the strut rod bushings. Thanks.

    Thanks guys!, yeah i was going to try to pull on the knuckle assembly to get it too pop out but i was afraid of damaging something pulling in the suspension like that. Guess im not strong enough to do damage!..:)

I took off the cABle at the transmission, shot penetrating **** up the cable turned the cable by hand and let it sit with the end elevated so the **** would go all the way up the cable.
