    Well now that it runs well, its time to take care of the A/C. The way dad told it 7 years ago, was that it just needed to be recharged. Guess I will see.

    My thanks to everyone. Found out that the bolts for the camshaft sprocket had sheered off. Went to the j/y and picked up a cam, sprockets, and new chain. Also noticed that when the bolts sheered, the timing belt jumped a tooth on the rear cam , and on the crank. It runs like new now. Thank you...

    More info. I wired the car like the diagram below. I have an extra DIS previously working, from previous troubleshooting and I have tried both. New Coil, wires, and plugs with upper 60K. Just Timed the cams and replaced the cam chain tensioner. Not sure if the (new Junk yard parts) were...

    When I tried to start the car, it turned over, and then backfired out of the intake. I have already confirmed fuel at the rail, and have not been able to check for spark. I was thinking a backfire from the intake would indicate spark, and lead to timing issue. What do you all think?
