Completed Upper 60 then car quit running
Well now that it runs well, its time to take care of the A/C. The way dad told it 7 years ago, was that it just needed to be recharged. Guess I will see.- beasterman1

Completed Upper 60 then car quit running
My thanks to everyone. Found out that the bolts for the camshaft sprocket had sheered off. Went to the j/y and picked up a cam, sprockets, and new chain. Also noticed that when the bolts sheered, the timing belt jumped a tooth on the rear cam , and on the crank. It runs like new now. Thank you...- beasterman1

Misfire

Well my buddy has been talking smack to me, and is telling me that I need the new charger. I laughed at him and told him that I would race his 3.5 L V6 any day. I told him we should go to test and tune night next wednesday at Bandamere Speedway. He whimped out. Im thinking I can take him...- beasterman1

Completed Upper 60 then car quit running
More info. I wired the car like the diagram below. I have an extra DIS previously working, from previous troubleshooting and I have tried both. New Coil, wires, and plugs with upper 60K. Just Timed the cams and replaced the cam chain tensioner. Not sure if the (new Junk yard parts) were...- beasterman1

Completed Upper 60 then car quit running
When I tried to start the car, it turned over, and then backfired out of the intake. I have already confirmed fuel at the rail, and have not been able to check for spark. I was thinking a backfire from the intake would indicate spark, and lead to timing issue. What do you all think?- beasterman1

Ok. I will pull the timing cover just to check. I have fuel at the rail. I will check for spark also when I get home. Sorry I didn't have more info. I was just driving home from and it quit while running. Checked all fuses, and will have to wait until probably Thursday to take anything...- beasterman1

I had the same issue. I was driving down the road, and the car stopped running, I dropped my fuel pump and tested it. It worked fine. Then tested for spark....I should have done this first. There was no spark. I checked the fuses under the hood on the drivers side, by the firewall and noticed...- beasterman1
