Crank Bolt....
If all else fails, I have a way to get it off. It requires some extra stuff, but it should work. Mine was stuck, pretty badly, and nothing else (starter, impact wrenches, breaker bars, fire) would get it off. If you are still having trouble in a day or two, let me know, and I'll send you... -

I don't know about the codes, but the sweet smell may have been coolant. (That may or may not have anything to do with your problem) -

my 1993 ATX SHO leaks coolant and overheats....
Also, you can get a pressure tester, which is good for finding leaks in coolant hoses and stuff. You just pump it up, and look for where the coolant is leaking/dripping/seeping or spraying out. I rented one from Autozone, and they went out of business, so basically I BOUGHT one at Autozone. I... -

First of all, I was trying to put my rear heads on, and even though I was being really careful, I managed to put a few little dings in my head gasket. Are these now considered "damaged?" First, I have a question for everyone else. Isn't there a "dimple" in the middle of the bolt? If his is rusted over, it could look like someone drilled into the middle. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember. I don't think that will help you anyways. Next question, with welding a socket... -
