I have a new-in-box unused set of Livernois Motorsports 2010-2015 Taurus SHO downpipes with hi-flow cats. Made by American Racing Headers, constructed of U.S. T304 Stainless Steel, and designed as a bolt-on direct replacement for the factory downpipe. Typical power gains are...
Looking to get my hands on a factory exhaust assembly (cat-back) system for a 2013-2015 Ford Taurus SHO.
Local preferred, but I am open to having one shipped if the price is right. I'm in the D.C./northern VA area. I'm also looking to get rid of a Corsa cat-back system as well, so potential...
I think you're on the right track. I'm wondering if the popping noise is a result of a plugged-up exhaust and excessive back pressure feeding back into the motor....perhaps something even rattling around and intermittently plugging the pipe. I picked up some Cataclean and will give that a try.
Yep....beginning to think it's more exhaust-related than a misfire. And yes, I do have the down pipes from Livernois as well. Will look into it further next week. Thanks!
So my issue started a few months after I had my Corsa exhaust installed. I get a popping/backfiring sound at the upper RPM band (6-6.5K RPMs) while at WOT. Power/acceleration also cuts out when this happens. No other WOT issues/misfires at lower RPMs, and it never threw any DTCs.
I contacted...
Earlier this year, I purchased the Thunderstorm High-Low Down Pipe (w/hi-flow cats) for my '14 SHO. They were installed by a local Ford dealership, and everything seemed to go well with the install. But since then, I've noticed a loud resonating/drone exhaust sound upon acceleration -- but it...
True - I did notice that most of the aftermarket wheel sets offered/recommended for the SHO had a 8.5" width. Personally, I'd be fine with a 20"x9" wheel setup.....if I find the right ones at the right price.
While there isn't much about my 2014 SHO P/P that I can find fault with, every so often I do find myself craving a wider wheel/tire setup. That being said, is it even possible to go wider than the 8" stock wheel width on my 2014 SHO P/P? I'd love to be able to upgrade to a 20"x10" wheel setup...
Looks good - I like the direction you're headed. Have you given thought to plasti-dipping the 'SHO' emblems on the front quarter panels, along with the window trim? That would really complete the look.
Your best bet would be to search for the 'MDesign' page on Facebook and send a message to the owner (Ahmad). He's pretty responsive and should be able to tell you when their next batch will be available.
