Hey guys! jthod has been hunting me down via random posts to come check out the Nebraska SHO part of the forum. ...So... Here I am! My name is Chris Richman but since 6th grade people have called me Richman so I guess you can all call me that, or any other name you might feel I need. Im pretty laid back so whatever works lol.

Im a professional detailer and the Assistant Manager of the Reconditioning Department at Russwood Chrysler in Lincoln on 84th and O. Ive been there for almost 5 years. Im 25 and currently trying to decide what I want to do with my life...mechanic, body shop tech, software designer, entreprenuer, millionare....and the list goes on...

My SHO love began back in 8th grade when I saw a black 93 that one of the seniors at my high school was driving. I was instantly taken by it and started researching these vehicles on the internet. By my senior year of high school I had my green/mocha 95 MTX, and a locker and wall in my room completely covered in pictures of SHOs.

Now, I still own my 95 (and will always). Ive had 5 SHOs altogether: A red 90, triple black 93 3.2 MTX, blue 94 ATX, green 95 MTX and a green 97. Ive also owned a 93 SLO, 92 Mustang LX, 90 Mustang GT vert, 99 Wrangler Sahara, 70 Ranchero GT, 02 Grand Prix GTP and an 03 Mustang GT (recently acquired).

Sorry Ive typed a book... Anyway If anyone wants to get ahold of me, my email is [email protected]. Ill also give out my cell upon request.

I hope to finally meet some of you guys. Im in Omaha a lot too visiting my best friend so maybe I can stop in and see some of you Omaha guys.

Glad to be here! Props to you guys for getting this club going :thumb:

do you know Jason Svarc? works (or worked) there, I went to high school with him.

if yu want to get into school for mechanics, I highly reccomend SCC. 1. it's in state 2. cooperative learning 3. cheap lot's more, but I'll keep it short.

Yeah Im friends with him. Hes a pretty cool kid. He doesnt work at Russwood anymore, I believe he's doing like mobile PDR work now.

Im actually thinking about getting into something like that. I would eventually like to detail, tint windows and PDR out of my own shop some day. Its an idea anyway.

As for SCC Ive been there and I liked it for the most part. I went there for a computer programming degree but after 5 months decided it wasnt for me. I definitely wouldnt be opposed to giving it another shot though. I just want to make sure Im going to like what Im going for, I dont want to waste any more money lol.

Lol yeah I think I was usually at work when you would be rolling by there.

The guy I was renting that place with somewhat screwed me over and I just didnt see the need to keep paying for a place I couldnt really use anymore, so I got out of there awhile back. I havent gotten another one as of yet, all the stuff I do now is out of my garage.

Yeah, I was friends with him in high school. Funniest F-er I ever knew! Did he still have the Camero when he left?

I'm in the GM ASEP program now at SCC. BIG difference from UNL!! 10 guys that you'll be with for the next 21 months (every other quarter).

Are you any good with a high speed buffer?

Unfortunately, I dont get a lot of practice with it due to our body shop ******** every time we steal work from them, but Ive done quite a few cars for people over the years and they've all been pretty happy with the results. Im not the best out there I'm sure, but Im a perfectionist so everything that I work on has to meet my standards before I let anyone else see it lol. I definitely treat every car I work on like it's my own.

and jthod, I think he finally got rid of the camaro... But, I could be wrong. That guy goes through cars faster than I do, and that's not easy to do lol.

I've thought a lot about those smaller, one quarter school, one quarter working programs. I know atleast four guys at Russwood that went through them and they all seemed to like it. The smaller class size would be really cool too.

Yeah, I'm relly likeing school for the first time since shop class my senior year. Oh, and don't go to Milford looking for women, you won't find many. Unless you like high school girls.:naughty:

Jason had at least 5 cars through high school. One time he had this rusted out chevy celebrity that had a light bar on top. he was pulling people over with it and got caught. That didn't go over so well.

Might as well introduce myself since I picked up my first SHO just a few weeks ago. My name is Matt, I'm 23 and currently living in Norfolk. I purchased a black 97 SHO in Omaha but unfortunately the transmission went out 3 miles from Norfolk while driving it home the day I bought it. She sits in my garage waiting to have the transmission rebuilt sooner than later.

Not really sure about swapping a 5-speed into this car, it seems way too crowded under the hood for me to really get motivated. My other car is getting a 5-speed swap eventually, but there's also 1000x more room under the hood.

Cool, that's not far at all. I went to school up in St. Paul, MN. I moved to NE just over a year ago.

I see, cool.

I'll let you know next time I'm at the parents house. Have you tried a change of fluid to see if it helps? Not exactly cheap, but cheaper than 2,000 for a R&R transmission.
