Salvage yard parts-car alerts

I thought I would post a thread for salvage yard parts-car alerts. The red '93 MTX at Taylor's is gone, and in talking to the guys there, they said their typical turn-over on Tauri is 10-DAYS !
[ed. it's probably more on the order of 21-28 days based on my experience there now]

I'm sure that Pick-n-Pull and Riverside have similar turnover rates.
[ed. PnP's is on average 28-32 days, but is based on the number of vehicles they receive, and has been as high as 3 months. Riverside's ~30 days.]


So, I thought it would be good to post a general thread so others here know which yards have been most recently visited, and which ones have good parts cars. That way we have an idea of which yards to hit (ie. which one *hasn't* been walked in a while), and which ones have useful parts.

Damn! Knew I should have gone by Taylor's. My stop at Riverside was a brief 5-minute walk-through (if that) - so if the Gen IIIs weren't pretty well stripped, they might be new arrivals. Do you recall how complete the three SHOs where?

The riverside gen3's were pretty complete, with OK tan interiors, but of course the the door panels were ripped off to get to the speakers. Both had engines and trannies, one had the coils and injectors removed, the other was missing the front four coils. The red/purple gen2 at Taylors still had the engine and tranny, not sure if it was an ATX or MTX.

Radio missing; EATC buttons bad; instrument bezel already busted-up

MTX transmission is trashed - the driver's side case is cracked pretty badly (you can see the hole from the front driver-side fender-well).

I have not had much time as of late, is there anything really good on the gen III ?

The rear trunk deck was in very good condition, and I saw no signs of the paint delaminating (or whatever the process is called) along the bottom edge.

The Silver SHO is gone from PNP. My guy there said it left 1/2/08. Sadly, they didn't leave it there of the usual minimum 30 days.
