Questions for people that got the wilwood brakes (4 or 6 pistons, or both)
1: The ortiz performance website says adaptor bracket not included, do i need an adaptor bracket/kit, and where do i get one?
2: I'm new to brake upgrades, how do i know what brake pads to use? And can i get some suggestions on what pads would be best? I mainly daily drive with the occasional track day
3: is the willwood kit both front and back brakes or just the front?

You need the brackets from @aaron240 he custom made them to work with the Wilwood BBK, the kit is just the front brakes.

Thanks @Nova ,

@shaldaya you would want the wilwood bp10 pads, they are daily street and light track. The adapter brackets kit is just for the front. I can supply the whole kit wilwood parts included if you want a one stop shop. See the assembly drawings below.

My experiences with running just the front set up only (as I did for a short time) was that it felt wonky as it relates to brake bias.

The fronts were so overkill that the back set up felt, IDK, out of sorts if you will.

After I added the Wilwood's to the rear also, it was only then that did it feel whole. Complete. Harmonius from front to back.

This doesn't mean that doing just the fronts shouldn't be considered because they certainly are a HUGE improvement over stock, or anything aftermarket that would be above factory, and below the Wilwood offering.....

But doing the entire set up, to include front AND rear, is the most ideal.

I'm not sure if TCE still has brackets for the rear (doesn't hurt to ask of course, cuz failing to do so would equal a 100% no answer) but maybe with enough coaxing, the OP could possibly even get Aaron to fab some for the rear.

Either way, best of luck with however it turns out.

I have the 4 piston in the front and it made a huge difference in stopping power. I feel that in emergency situations it's much much more controllable. Under extremely hard braking, all the weight it pushed to the front with the better front brakes so it made a big difference

I installed the front and back big brake kits from TCE. Front & rear proportioning seems fine. I use Wilwood brake pads: great stopping power from full metallic on the track (Time Attack) and switch over to street pads otherwise.

Yes, got them from TCE Performance. Which is in my original reply that you quoted. Thanks @kryptto for the link.

As far as modding, I had to grind down a small portion of the rear knuckles, and also disengage the emergency brakes/brake lines to the emergency brakes.

Thanks, and my mistake, i didn't realize TCE was a company, i was confused and thought it was a person

I saw it camw with the 4 piston, do you know if the 6 piston would also fit?

No worries.

They had/have 6 piston set ups (or at least they did), but the owner (Todd Cook) said the 6 piston setup was overkill in his opinion.

The 4 piston setup has served me QUITE WELL and never have had any issues.

It is both. Todd Cook (Enterprises) was a SHO supporter from way back-- and had his SHO powered hillclimb car for a good while before changing engine platforms. He's been around since the way way back.
He has also made brake kits for alot of other platforms. You can't survive on SHO's or any small niche vehicle (that doesn't have deep pocket owners across the board) alone.
