I may have to order a couple cans of touch up. Is it either Currant Red or Electric Red Metallic? I have not attempted to find the code on a sticker somewhere on the car yet
Hey Zoomlater! Greetings from the east coast. It is my pleasure saving this beauty. I just ordered clearcoat today. I plan on scotchbrite sanding the areas where the clear coat is flaking, then 1500 grit, 2000 grit, then spray on the clear coat. I plan on doing all of this in my garage so wish me luck. The areas where there is clear coat, I plan on buffing it out. The bumpers, and wheels need a buffing as well. I hope the headlights and tail lights can be saved. The look I am hoping for is how she looks wet with rain water, meaning the picture I have on my profile. That was taken the day the car arrived. First impression, is I loved it. So let's hope I can make the car look like that with 2K rattle can clear coat. Thank you for responding

At this time I do not know where to find a front plate frame, my SHO also needs one....try the classified section and maybe post a WTB or "want to buy" post for one, someone will have one because there are people parting all the time....good luck

Didn't he post in another thread that he had 1 that was cracked and he was trying to glue it? Are you looking for one to hold a plate or one to have empty on the front?
I would look at salvage yard search engines and see who has these cars still in the yard, and use that indo to track one down from around the country.

I don't recall hi mentioning a cracked one. SHO SOURCE out of Washington state has a near mint condition one for me but for some reason stopped corresponding with me. Don't know why. This is the same company that hooked me up with a new fuel pump. Currently I am having a hard time finding the front plate holder. The SHO models had "SHO" molded into the plastic. One of the many reasons why I am looking for originality and refuse to put GL OR LX parts on my car. I hope you can understand.

I just sent a message to the seller. Let's hope he responds. Wow Luigi, you are a lifesaver☺☺☺. As far as my car goes, I was hoping the plate holder was in the trunk when it arrived but it wasn't. But then again this particular"SHOW" lived it's whole life in South Carolina which does not require front plates so the previous owner probably pitched it many years ago having no idea how valuable that part is. Wish I had it though. They look better on our cars. Give the SHO more curb appeal.Thank you zoomlater

That's the engineering number. The actual part number is E9DZ-17A385-A. Might get better results with that.
