Heres a couple of questions I have for you SHO guys, I upgraded the car with a 5 star tune I love how it pulls, but im getting a over temp from the ptu, changed fluid about 4 times now even drilled and tapped a drain plug, and yes I'm a industrial mechanic so I know semi decent how to use tools, ok so heres the ?s 1 theres like a stutter or drag on low take off replaced plugs made sure theres good connection replaced plugs with denso's. Also did fluid change trans but still happens. Bad coils? Or dirty mass flow? Please help I like to push the pedal past the firewall so no mash makes me sad!!

I would get your hands on a pair of sp-542 plugs. They are a heat range colder. That will help with detonation.

Not a big fan of the 5 Star tunes on the SHO. They dont have a presence here or on really any forums with the SHO.

Your stumble could be a couple of things. Our cars do not have a MAF sensor. They have two MAP sensors. I would clean both of your MAP sensors first. Second, it could be a weak coil. Are you getting any misfire codes?

Yes under heavy load I do get a misfire then it goes to limp mode, also what is the preferred tune I guess i would say everyone has there favorites.

Maybe I'm getting oil blow then fouling out the plugs but it seems under medium to heavy load it runs **** any more it will misfire!! Thats why I'm here for some assistance!!

Thanks for the welcome and advice sm105k.. Ive done plenty of trans issues and ptu issues with previous vehicles if you waych the programmer you can watch the rpm kinda "wobble" all over the place when on deceleration or low acceleration. Maybe a shit as tune?

Maybe but the simple stuff is to check coils and sensors. Do you have ignition data to see if a specific cylinder is not firing or preigniting?

Swap coils from cylinder 4 and 6 and see if the misfire moves to 6.

Exactly. If it's the same place, change the plug and coil. You can swap them as suggested above and see if the miss follows to the changed position that indicates a malfunctioning part.

To address your tune....

I would look at AJPTurbo, Gearhead, or Ortiz. They all have presence in the SHO community, and they all can work with you.
