Mine was rolling around inside the trunk. If you pull the carpet to get to the stud, you might be surprised to find the bolt is in there. Might have backed off enough to let it flop around, but still be threaded on the stud.

mine is lifting up on the drivers side. It looks like a white push pin type fastener under it....??

The white push pin is just a guide to hold the spoiler in my place so you can run the nuts up.
