New guy here have exhaust leak and rough idle

Hey everyone
So Ive had my 2013 for a month now and it's been great however I've come into two issusi that I think might be related I have an exhaust leak that I can't seem to find and the cars idle is a little rough I just replaced the down pipe to midpipe gaskets. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Any codes? Clean MAP sensors, more important the one on top of the intake but quick to do so clean both. When was the last time the plugs were changed?

Just changed the plugs at 55xxx I don't know if they were changed prior by the previous owner and also the car just today threw po42o and po43o codes

That’s a catalytic efficiency code
Could be a plugged cat or bad O2 sensor.

I just can't figure why both cats would have an issue at the same time

Edit: bank 1 is firewall side


Pretty sure that’s the bank 1 code.
If there was an injector that went bad which is a common problem with these motors, if not fix quickly it will cause the catalytic converter to go bad.

I think bank 1 is on the radiator side, someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Its showing both banks I'm thinking I might try o2 sensors first and if all else fails I'll have to replace the cats

Time for some DPs. I would correct what the idle issue is before replacing cats, if it's running rich you could **** the new cats as well.

You say you have an exhaust leak and you're getting out-of-range 02 codes... don't throw 02 sensors at it, find and fix the exhaust leak that could be pulling oxygen into the exhaust and thus setting off the 02 codes. If you find and fix an exhaust leak, clear the codes and see if they come back.

Since you are getting codes for both banks, you’re probably running really rich. Look for vacuum/boost leaks. And as mentioned fix that exhaust leak if it’s before the cats. I highly doubt both your cats when bad at the same time unless you have been running super rich for a long time and finally killed them.

Thanks for the input guys I figured out the check engine codes had to do with the tune but as for the exhaust leak I'll keep replacing gaskets till I find it thanks again

Get an OBD adapter and Torque Pro, monitor O2 values and fuel trims fuel rail pressure etc. Get to know how your SHO is behaving. It may become really obvious from watching the data.

Cleaning both MAP sensors and the IAT sensor is a great start tho, I would say.

Plugs looked fine but pretty sure they were from factory which I would of preferred if they were changed early
