Car and Driver has the same complaints/issues you do regarding shifting.

I know but they still recorded a 5.0 0-60 and a 13.5 @ 106 quarter. If these cars would shift like my Livernois tuned MKS, they would run 13 flat or maybe high 12s with NO additional HP or torque.

I hope tuners like Livernois can restore some of what was dialed back. I am not so sure that my car doesn't hit the rev limiter at WOT when using sport mode. The shifts are crazy....it pulls really hard until the shift point and the engine just shuts down. The shift occurs and then it pulls hard again. Seriously, it feels exactly like what would happen on my MKS if I tried to shift using the paddles but waited too long.

It is not as bad in Drive but the torque management is still much too sensitive. The engine feels super strong, though. Just punching it from an idle off the line will break the 255/45-19 Michelins loose on dry pavement. My tuned MKS wouldn't even do that. There seems to be ZERO turbo lag.

Brucelinc, We should have no issue shoring up the issues that you are experiencing. Whenever you are ready to get that Conti tuned, let us know and we can get on it. Until then, enjoy it as it seems you are doing! Once again, thank you for the continued support for our product, and hopefully we can get you some new surprises with your new Lincoln.

Apparently additional break-in miles and the transmission's adaptive learning are paying off. My car is shifting much more quickly and firmly at WOT than before. It no longer feels like an invisible hand is shutting off the engine during the shift!

It still lacks the great shift quality that comes with a Livernois tune but it is much better than before.

I hope it is good news. Although the additional break-in miles and adaptive learning has improved my car's shift quality, I still need the ear-to-ear perma-grin that only Livernois can provide!
