Wow, great research. Although unfortunately this makes the RM less rare by almost 30 cars. Is there any chance the 2 Japan exports exist, and were they RHD? Also I think a new post is in order for the Blue 96, amazing.

Thanks! I plan to research them all and upload a better list than what we have when I recover more.

Yes, those two were RHD. And yes, I'll make a new post, it isn't pretty :(

What kind of infos do you have with this databank, are you able to know if some are special order ? I'm curious to see where the blue one will be with a carfax... in a Ford storage place maybe.

No Rose Mist car was special ordered unfortunately.

Check my new post about it

Ok, I tought some may be special orders.

After some observation on the new RM infos. If I apply the same logic than before we have probably 9 RM prototypes (before dec 1995) and 77 RM on normal production. FPG only missed 19 of them ;) or they use in fact another databank.

That still doesn't make sense. I think FPG was completely wrong in the way they gathered their evidence. Most of these are cars that were on the road in different locations in the country.

I told you I expect there is going to be like 100 extras. I'm glad you are finding them and do not want you to stop looking for every single one.

Just not surprised that you found a variance from what you find as cars produced vs cars said to be produced.

Go get 'em!

I trust Ford's database to be correct at 86 (eighty six) RM SHOs. FPG uses a diferent database to pull VINs from, so that's why their '58' number is different than the 86 that there really was.

Someone knows or have the complete list of regional Ford sale districts ? I only have americans and canadians on mine. The 2 RHD have 9H and 9Y codes with them, we can know where they were sold (Australia, New Zealand, UK, Japan, etc.). On my list it's said only that 9A is for Export... The only thing I found is from Mustangs blog :

"DSO 94 (used on some Shelbys) means its an internal Ford Car (company car, "brass hat" or an XE Car)"

The code were differents for these old Fords : Export : 90-99, seem to be replaced by 9A to 9Y more recently (maybe RC 90 is now RC 9A...?).

As I found :
DSO 90 (Belgium, Switzerland, ?)
DSO 91 (UK, Germany, ?)
DSO 92
DSO 93 (Germany, ?)
DSO 94
DSO 95 (Germany, ?)
DSO 96 (UK, New Zealand, Australia, ?)
DSO 97
DSO 98
DSO 99

http://www.boss302.com/smf/index.php?topic=45164.5;wap2

According to this site, isn't clear that the code is region related. It can be a "priority order" (91 prior to 93).
http://www.mustangclub.de/index.php/t5-merkmale

"Export DSOs are not country dependent. They have more to do with dealer priority. That is, you could have two dealers in Germany, one with DSO 91 and one with DSO 94. The dealer with 91 will have higher priority for receiving his orders for vehicles." (2003)

Other point, I think we must count RM with RC 89 because even if they were for Ford purpose (prototype or something else) at the start, they can be owned with time by privates owners. The best exemple is 1FALP54N7TA239500.

I just updated my original post to this thread and added my car's production number. I strongly suggest we either move posts describing the individual cars to another separate thread and name this thread the "Rose Mist Discussion Thread." That way our information is kept contained and organized instead of spread out between 9 pages :)

I'm going to upload the "OFFICIAL" Rose Mist Production list tomorrow for everyone to view.

I feel as if this is the best list we have so far. If you'd like a full Excel spreadsheet showing this information, please don't hesitate to PM me and ask for a copy sent to your email. :)

Hi Josh,

Well good work ! Can we have the year of the last report of mileage for each of them ? I think it can be useful for the unknown condition ones. If possible, I would like to have mileage for scrapped ones too.

Thanks.

Not all of them came back in AutoCheck. I still need to find someone with an unlimited amount of VIN checks through CarFax to verify any data, haha. Make sure you post your car in the RM Registry for our cars info that I linked above! :D

You're very welcome Kevin! I wanted to get to the bottom of this once and for all... Don't forget about the other thread I made for just our cars! :)

It is going well, Alex!

Barney was backed into a few days ago while I was in the store, nothing major but it's a bummer, cracked the bumper cover :p The entire bumper already has damage in the license plate area, I was already anticipating repairs to it haha. 126,000 Miles so far!

How's everyone else's Barney cars doing?
