Sometime in the summer of 2013, I was going to private sell a Ford Flex, but stopped at the dealer one day to see what they'd give me on trade. Turns out they offered me what I hoped to get via private sale, so I looked on the lot and there sat a Ruby Red 2014 SHO non-PP version. It had been delivered that day for general stock. I walked in the showroom and told a salesman to grab a key and paperwork - I was taking it. It's my first SHO.
A few months before that I had bought a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 10th Anniversary edition. My last several cars went car-truck-car-truck-car-truck, so I knew it wouldn't be long before the Jeep gave way a bit to the desire for something quick and low to the ground. This is where the SHO fits in.
I don't drive it much, and didn't drive it at all last winter. Only by a fluke did it once see snow, and I just rolled 6000 miles a couple weeks ago.
Anyway, as it turns out, tonight I hit a curb while pulling into Buffalo Wild Wings for a fundraiser for my son's school, and I ganked up the rim pretty well and also tore the sidewall of the tire, an OEM 245/45r20. Yes - tore it. Didn't puncture it and it holds air just fine, but there's a tear.
Anyway (again), I started to think I'd probably need a tire, and hey, maybe better tires, and hey, maybe nicer wheels, and hey, maybe tint the windows, and hey, maybe a tune, and hey, suddenly my bank account is empty but the car is pretty badass. I've already done lots of fun stuff to the Jeep, so maybe the SHO needs some love. So that's how I found this place.
I live in Michigan but like I said - I don't drive the car in winter. So my first question is in regard to tires, preferably something high performance because I'm thinking of having Santa bring me some fun stuff from Livernois. What direction can any of you point me in search of something at least as good as OEM, if not better? From there we'll see what comes next.
Thanks for reading.
