Carlisle All Ford Nationals 2013

Anyone going to Carlisle All Ford Nationals 2013?
I just registered and will be there on 6/8.

I'll be there in the 80-88 T-bird class. The SHO turnout was very low last year so I switched classes.

Im bringing the 98. There were SHO's but they had the stock and modified class in different areas. We are section 239,240 this yr, will be there Sat. Hope to see you there.

They all looked great. Too bad I didn't get to meet a few of you.
I've attached a picture I took.

One of the members of another forum reached out to the Carlisle officials, since 2014 will be the 25th Anniversary of the Taurus SHO, to see what we could do about placement of SHO's on the field. They have responded with the fact that this is a Ford sponsored event and would require us to contact Ford for guidance/assistance.

To that end, we should reach out to our various contacts at Ford in trying to make this happen. I just sent an email to someone I know on Ford's marketing team.

With planning, I'm sure we could have an awesome turnout of Taurus SHO owners for a special 25th Anniversary event. With enough turnout and early registration, maybe even a more prevalent spot on the field.

Another thought: would be nice to round up as many of the "original" gang as possible to beseech Ford as well. Don't know if they'd still be interested after all this time All those folks fought so hard to better the SHO and for the return on the SHO!

Having never been to Carlisle, I would definitely consider bringing my two 25th birthday (1989) SHO's if we had some sort of recognition.

Greetings, allow me to introduce myself I am Steve, pardon the entry, I was at Carlisle, the lone SEL in the class next to the station wagon (Photo2) thanks mrecoolgar!! I highly recommend visiting Carlisle when you can, it is a awesome event. Despite being the only non SHO I had a great time. I would like to get to know the SHO class, it could be the next replacement. Still trying to sort out whether the sport suspension would work on the Pittsburgh, PA roads but other than that I likey likey!! If not a SHO then a highly loaded limited. I have put in a request to keep all Taurus as a class but I maybe outvoted. For those of you within about 500 miles I highly recommend taking the day trip and enjoying the weekend.

For those of you thinking of 2014 I highly recommend it and if we can get enough participation the tent is about $150 but divided among the group the more the cheaper. If you have no objections to a single SEL or Limited in the group or at least parking with the group then I would think we could get some recognition from Ford for the 25th Anniversary of the SHO and approaching 30th of the Taurus.
