Hello Everyone, Juan Hernandez here. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I now live in Staten Island New York. I bought a 4th gen SHO about a year ago and I love it. I got a 2011 Platinum White and cant wait to tint it up like crazy. Yes, NYC does have some strict tint laws, but I don't think I may have a problem (work related benefit). Anyway, I'm interested in learning as much as I can from all of you, but unfortunately, I have very little knowledge on my car or any SHO for that matter, so I cannot contribute much. I have a crappy lil 2003 Toyota Matrix Xr that I use mostly as a commuter car back and forth 40miles to work everyday and I used to have a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Ws6 that I had to get rid of due to becoming a father 2 years ago. My SHO does not have the preformance package (I know it sucks!!!).

So anyway, hello and hope to get to know you all better in the near future.

Welcome Juan and a hearty congrats on the GEN4 SHO -- she's a beauty.
Mine also came without the PP but it's still a great ride with most of the same attributes (and a spare tire and all season rubber:) -- The diff in speed and performance would only manifest at the track anyway so no worries there.

I have little knowledge on SHO's also but I can say from my short time here that there is a wealth of information here for all SHO owners, and a pretty friendly bunch to boot.....:hail:

Cheers, and keep us up on developments and mods with your SHO.

Colin (just west of you in southern Ontario)

Welcome! Performance package or not, the first thing to do is get a tune. Levernois has some great offerings that will really wake the car up. There isn't much gain from stock to after market exhaust except for a nicer tone, but if you decide to go that route, Corsa has a nice set up. Another performance upgrade would be a cold air kit. again, not much gain, but sure sounds nice under WOT. Have fun, enjoy the car, but "IT" can be a handfull with a tune.

I'ver got mine tinted, but with a release from the state and eye doctor, won't have any issues with the locals.

Welcome Juan, I too was a SHO ****** and now love the car...as previously posted by Colin, there is a wealth of information on the car on this forum. If and when you get the time just sit back and read past post and you will be surprised how quickly you will become familiar with your new ride.
For me I have just started to modify mine. I have installed the H&R springs (be sure to get aligned) and a few other cosmetic upgrades. Currently waiting to receive a kick ass gauge pod to install over the (useless  ) center speaker.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the ride...:omgsho:

Welcome aboard... I don't (or didn't) know much about the SHO... and cars in general. But, thepeople here are very friendly, helpful and many knowledgeable. The more time you will spend, the more hooked you will get and when you will start modding the car and unveal the hidden beast, you will want to continue... Never ending story. As for your contribution to the forum in terms of knowledge... First you can start by posting pics of your car (we love pictures in here) and with time, just the share of info, experiences (good or bad) can help. Finally, there is always a money contribution to the forum to maintain it alive that is appreciated!

Cheers, enjoy your ride and looking forward to sharing with you!

Welcome to the forum. I have the same color combo with a tint. I do have the PP package and had to just splurge for some winter tires so don't fret too much. There is a wealth of knowledge here so don't worry about what you don't know. Enjoy your sweet ride.

Did you go with a set of Blizzaks? I am also in Michigan with the PP and am about to go shopping next week.

No. I actually got some Yokohama Parada Spec X all season. I work for a Ford dealer and Ford had a $100 rebate on specific brands. I had some Yoko's before on my truck they worked fine in the snow. We'll see!!!
