The SHO is almost ready for the road again and I am finishing up some minor stuff. Well last year I had a charging issue so i replaced all battery/alt cables and new alternator with a smaller alt pulley. I was still never able to get more than 12 volts at idle and my batt light would come on dimmly at idle and go away as you revved the car. Well today I put my volt meter on it and it reads 13.6 volts at idle but I still have a dim batt light at idle. Anyone have any ideas why I still have a battery light at idle?

Voltmeter where? If you're measuring at the alternator, and the fusible link is gone, you will get the right voltage but the battery won't charge.

Cause you need another alt.

Even if its new , they commonly fail - specially the napa and the cheap ones.

Find a good shop that rebuilds them, I bought one off of boat and it's still going strong even if the car isn't lol
