Cool... Can't wait. But I would never deny myself of such enjoyment. I was hoping I would be hearing something from mobsteel on mine. Adam had told me someone would contact me for my billing info, still waiting for that to happen.

Well, as mentioned before my schedule has been super busy and I haven't had time to install my mobsteel grille although it's been consuming ALL of my thoughts since I received it last week. The mod bug is truly an addiction and I'm "jonesing" for a fix really bad right now! :oogle:

Regardless when I received it last week, one of the "welds" had broken loose from the grille attached to the mesh. Today I picked up some epoxy and it bonded and fixed the break quite nicely. So now it's ready to be installed but my schedule is still packed until next week. Thus, I've decided to let the Body Shop guys at my dealership install it for me tomorrow cause I just can't wait.

I know what you will all say and I agree that I will be missing out on the satisfaction of doing it myself and accomplishing something however I just can't stop staring at the grille sitting in my office begging "Install me! Pleasssssseeeee!"

Arrgh! At least my Body Shop guys work for beer......

Pics to follow when she's done. Hopefully tomorrow :woo-hoo:

Adam flew out of state and was head'n to Cali for something.....

I did get an email from him recently stating that my set up could possibly be shipping out next week perhaps.....

Anyhow, apparently he retooled a couple of spots on the mold where he wasn't happy with (as far as the 1st few sets having gone out) and is applying a newer and thicker type of gel coat which he says will make for a much nicer finished product overall.

I told him no rush on mine. I thanked him for the update and assured him that I'd rather him take his time and crank out a quality product, rather than rush.

But that's just me I guess.

Cool thanks for the heads up. Glad he followed up with you, as he told me he would. I call there today and learned he was out of town also. But let them know I wasn't rushing them just wanted progress report.

Well, the grille has been installed. I'm very happy with the quality of the product from Mobsteel. It matches the factory paint perfectly and it really does open up the front end (IMO) which may even be good for more air intake. Another thing that had me really worried was the fear that my ACC system wouldn't work because of the difference in materials from the OEM to the Mobsteel grille. For those without this option, the ACC on the OEM Grille has a plastic cover whereas on the Mobsteel grille it's molded into the grille which I'm pretty sure is fiberglass. Regardless, I wasn't sure if the different denseness' of the plastics would affect the sensor however after a few tests, it turns out that the ACC works fine :)
Anyways, enough yapping, here are some pictures! I did a couple of other small things as well...... For those that notice, of course ;)

How did I know it would be you pestering me about the reflections in my photographs again? Haha. You're right though, I'm absolutely NOT a photographer however in my defence, it is hard to avoid reflections on black cars..... :p

Wow Zeus, looks great! I also like how you removed the badges on the back.

Quick question: does your SHO have the perfomance package? I currently have the 402B where I also have the ACC cover. I'm looking to purchase this grille, but I was just looking to see how the ACC is holding up. Have you had any issues?

Once again, looks great!

Thank you for the kind comments guys. I'm very happy with how it looks as well. The debadging wasn't everything that I wanted to do though. I plan on getting some logos back on the car (locations still undecided) and I have a couple of custom SHO pieces headed my way in the next couple of weeks as well.... more on that later ;)

To answer LittleMichael, no I do not have the PP as it was never an option for Canadian cars. So far in the last 2 days of testing, my Adaptive Cruise seems to be working fine so that was a relief to me as well. If you're planning on getting this grille and you have ACC, just make sure that you order it from Mobsteel with the 1 side covered for the ACC sensor. So far, so good! :salute:

Sweet, thanks for the heads up on the ACC sensor! Also great to hear about the adaptive cruise. Has the collision detector gone off yet? That's a hard one to test lol!!

Actually, I find it amusing to "test" the collision avoidance system when I have other people in the car with me. The red lights, the beeping and the sudden loss of the stereo has been known to "freak-out" a few of my various passengers
In all seriousness I will test this when I get a chance..... And a new passenger
