I am performing an atx to mtx swap on my 94 atx. Donor car is a 93 mtx. All the ac lines on my 93 are fused together or rusted through. I am having trouble finding 3 of the 5 lines in the engine compartment. The two that run down the inner rh wheel well are easy to buy. The evap/dryer and the two lines that attach to the compressed are the ones I am having trouble with.

Has anyone found them before?

Short answer is no.
The fender lines are available, as you have noted. You can also buy the compressor new.
Anything attached to the compressor is not available new. I got mine from a member of this forum and they are still in place.
I searched for a local repair facilty, like the ones that fix reefers on highway trailers to piece together some of the solid lines, but never came up with anyone who could do the job..... you may have better luck with that.
The lines for the MTX are different from the ATX, so only buy used ones for the MTX for the year you have. You are on the dividing line of R12 and R134 but I think you have an R134 system.

thanks for the info, ill order up the fender lines. i did track down a few ford dealers in the country that show stock for the accumulator/dryer so ill order in one of those. So now its just a matter of finding someone with the 94' mtx 134a lines that connect to the compressor.

does anyone have 94 mtx ac/ compressor lines for sale?

When I bought mine, I bought the compressor and all the lines for a bit over $100.00 and the shipping was not bad at all. A lot of people delete the AC unit to save weight and have the units sitting around their shops, until they finally throw them out. That is the best way to buy them - complete.

Thanks I will do that for sure if I find something. Does anyone know how different the 134a mtx lines are from the r12 lines from a 93 or 92 ?

Could I use the r12 lines in my 94 and just get the adapter fittings?

Try here

http://acsource.com

Click on the a/c parts catalog link. You can then pick the vehicle year make and model. Make sure you select 3.0 as the engine size so you get the correct lines for the mtx. I got every line i needed from them when I converted my ATX to MTX about 3 years ago. Hopefully they still have the parts.

Good luck

Ray
