It's pretty bouncy. And yes I'm getting adapters and running stretch. Original plan was 16 x11 with 225/55. But now I'm leaning toward 17x10-11.
lol
Your going to run in to huge problems.
This is how a 17x9 sits on a SHO.
That wheel is running a 23mm Offset (On 275 tires). I have to run the 23mm Offset or the wheel/tire will hit the strut. Imagine how far a 17x10-11 (That are already on Adapters) will stick out. To make things even worse, Your going to literally have to cut off the rear fenders of your generation 1 to get it to fit as there is no way they will "tuck", even if you roll the fenders.
To make things even worse, running your stock struts on sleeves...well, Once you did manage to fit that stretched tire on a 17x10-11 wheel your going to have to raise the car up just to even drive it, as with it sitting at anything that resembles low, you are going to scrape the tire on the fender on anything that resembles a dip, bump or maybe even a turn in the road. As we know, If it's not low its not Hella-Flush. But maybe you can carry around a Jack and tools around with you, so you can lower the car before you hard park it. Or by then it will be time to pony up for some Koni's.
Am I trying to discourage you? Maybe a little, as I feel your going to take away any kind of performance or drive-ability for that matter that the car may currently, or once had. But like I said, It's your car. Do what you want with it. Your going to run in to a lot of opposition and people not likening it one bit, but know there will be folks here who will help you regardless. If you can do it, more power to you.
Good luck.
