I'll get pics asap,it needs a massive cleaning, car has more cancer on it than I was told but is fixable,it's a runner but at 207k,it needs quite a bit, maintenance is the key right now to be the DD,but hopefully this summer it will up to par and ready for some minor mods.

Im new to this car and motor but been a fan since I was 18,I'm def. not new to modifying,I had a nitrous fed Z24 Cavalier, but it was fun driving the SHO back home 100 miles:)

Here are the pics, has alot of cancer like I said but took the car to my mechanic, his advice(and he's a younger guy)was to sell it,he said the 3.0 motors are junk,I beg to differ, but problems mentioned were the syncros are going, needs a TPS and an o2 sensor, and it burns oil,not sure how much yet,it has Mobil 1 synthetic, also needs part of the exhaust pipe welded and a new hanger.

Looks like a good first SHO project! As James said, you've got some work ahead of you, but you'll learn a lot, and make some really good friends here. Congrats!

Thanks all,and SVOFANATIC is correct,I jumped a lil soon on this one,and yes I paid 1k for it when I should have gotten it for much less, owner seemed honest but after finding receipts in the car,we found that he was not in fact the "third owner",and that the throwout bearing wasn't "just replaced",it was done 4 yrs ago.

I'm not new too forums and the certain types of people on them, just new to this platform. This motor seems alot more involved than a 2.4L,lol

meh, once you move the big, scary intake out of the way, it,s just like any other DOHC V6...only with more power than the average 3 liter.

Well,I am definetely the type to get my hands dirty,I spent under a grand and took 1.5 seconds off my 1/4 time on the 98 Z24 but maintenance and body work will be the first things to do on this car,or I'll sell it and buy another one,lol
