Hello good people, I'm having a few issues with my 2nd Gen. The speedometer is messed up and I'm trying to save $150. Is it easy to take the cluster out of the dash? Also I need a panel light switch and the dealer is asking $75 for it. Not cool. Brake light switch is acting funky for some reason as well.

The local junkyards tend to have several rows of Gen2 Taurii. My fave was always the Pick-n-Pull in Chandler, but there are certainly other options. You can always get parts like that in a yard. Things like the instrument cluster that are SHO specific may take a little more looking, but those rarely get pulled from j/y cars, so if you find one it will likely still be there. There were often two or three SHOs at the Pick-n-Pull at a time, so you just need to look around if you want to go that route.

Can you be more specific in what is wrong with the speedo, and what panel light switch you need?
Many of us have extra SHO parts that we will sell for very little $$$.

My large hands don't go well with mechanic work. The panel light switch that controls the dimmer. At the dealer it costs $75 dollars which is ridiculous. The speedometer is needs a bearing replaced and some issue with a magnet.

Post in the wanted to buy section on the forum for the parts you need.
Include year, mileage, and interior color.

New issue. My temperature gauge keeps going up and down. It never goes above normal, but never stays constant.
