It's my understanding that the 1992 has a clock that's unique to that year only, LCD display with a trip timer. 1993 on has an LED display with no trip timer.

If true, do you have any 1992 clocks? They won't interchange because the mask for the 1992 clock in the gauge panel has three openings rather than two (three buttons for 1992).

Cool stuff. The 1992 clock is different than the '93-'95 clock though.

Edit: The clock you guys have pictured is the 1992 clock.

Let's hope that they don't mix 'em up when they ship them. There is no provision on SHO Source for indicating that you specifically need one for a 1992 (or later if that's what you want).

I'm sure if you would PM one of "them" at shosource: LOUDSHO92, shopartsnw, NWGRN94MTX, they would be glad to take good care ya'. They are good for that. :)

That's good to know they have some new OEM replacement clocks, but holy expensive. I guess the plus side is with a new one you don't have to worry about going through multiple used ones if they burn out. I learned recently that the 93-95 clock does not have a replaceable bulb. The Gen I clocks DO have replaceable bulbs.

And yes...as stated, the 92 clocks are definitely different both in the display type and the buttons. Hopefully they can claify on the website which ones they have because you know not all customers are going to be smart enough to think about the 92 vs. 93-95 clock difference when they order.

Right now it looks like we have the 92 only version. We will check to see if we have any of the 93-95.

Don't know the part number. It's the same as the bulb in the soft button EATC.

I don't have the part # off-hand. I'm in the airport right now, but when I get home, I will try to remember to get it. I have a spare Gen I clock and IIRC the bulb part # is labeled on the clock. FWIW this Gen I clock bulb looks to be the same as the EATC bulbs...my hard button takes the same size.

Also, I searched all over the place for this bulb when I first got my 90 b/c the burnt out clock bugged me. Ford said the part was obsolete, so it must not be used in any model 10 yrs. old or newer. In addition, I checked the parts house for this bulb--none found. As a last resort I tried a radio shop here in town (Rickwood Radio), who rebuilds and sells OEM stereos. Even they did not have the bulb.

What did I do? I went to the junkyard one day and pulled the bulbs out of every single gen I clock that I could find. The pick and pull gives me bulbs for free. I got a handful to try. They're tiny but not so tiny that you can't see if the filament is burned out. I think 2 of the 3 or so I pulled were good but I took all just in case.

I think I still have the bulb package at home. I'll check when I get back later today. I picked up a two pack at RatShack.
