Took both cars to a "dyno day" today. Overall, we are impressed with the numbers. I'll scan the charts at work tomorrow. Both cars only went up to 6500 RPM.

'93 MTX. Unsure on mods, but has a Quaife. Based on numbers, is it safe to assume it is not stock?

Nice numbers. Was this on a dynojet or a mustang dyno. Judging by the numbers I would say that the 93 probably has some work done to it.

Is there a reason you only ran the 90 up to 6500? With cams you should definatly go higher. Peak HP was at 6502 RPM's, so I bet it would have kept climbing. My Triflow's peak about 6800. Nice SHOing.

Mustang Dyno.

We originally told the guys running it to go to 7, but they had a scared look on their face so we said 6500. Might as well play it safe on a stock tune. I have watched my wideband on WOT drives in Mexico and noticed it goes nice and rich on the top end, so I was okay with going to 7.

Oh well, I just wanted a decent number for a "before" to see the gains after the supercharger is on there.

Oil or fuel? The guys inside the garage looked miserable when their eyes started burning.

Not much competition up there. I got 1st place and Adam took 2nd.

i know its a mustang dyno so i reads lower but with cams and everything that 90 should be alittle higher.

I noticed you said you have an s/c going on it soon. The only cars ive ever seen break the stock crank is when they had it ground. just something to think about.

I would SERIOUSLY think about that statement.

Mustang Dyno's read 12-14% lower then a Dynojet (Assuming the operator is competent). With that said....12 % of 212 is 25.

25 + 212 = 237... So, Assuming the Mustang Dyno is calibrated correctly and the operator has a clue.. (Meaning those numbers were accurate).. That car would have made close to 240 FWHP on a Dynojet. Considering what Michells car has done to it that number is right on the Money.

With that said, The reason I will ONLY use Dynojets from now on is because they give out more Generic Numbers to compare to other SHO's. There is far less chance of operator error with a Dynojet as opposed to a Mustang Dyno.

Nice numbers Michelle.

Yeah, you should see the looks they give you when you tell them to run a Taurus up to the 7800-8000 range. You get comments like "Its your car" and "We are not rsponsible if something breaks". :laugh_ti:

Those r good #'s on a mustang dyno. It is amazing how much better a 3.2 (or a bored 3.0) takes to mods. I guess there is just more to play with.

This is a false statement to an extent. The DynoJet at Carlisle was loaded so heavy, nothing made power.

Though, I agree that there is nothing wrong with Michelles car, those are stout numbers....

Not every Dynojet is going to read perfect but I bet if you took your car to 5 different Dynojet's, The numbers would be pretty close.... Where as with 5 different Mustang Dyno's......
