Elgin OPP have released the name of a 22-year-old Malahide Township man killed on Friday at a workshop just west of Aylmer.
Elgin County OPP say the man was an off-duty employee at Elrus Aggregates.
He was working alone under a personal vehicle, which was being held up on one side by a jack. At some point, the vehicle fell off the jack and onto the man.
The ministry of labour was contacted and helped in the investigation. An autopsy was done, and revealed that foul play wasn’t involved in the death.
Jacob Peters, 22, of Malahide Township, was identified as the victim.
