At least in name, anyway. Copied this from SmokinStangs.com If Randy wants to add this to the Google calendar, go nuts. I will try for 1 of the NESHOC events and maybe an SVT or 2...

2010 Devens Events

Here is some basic information. If you have any other questions, PM me and I will be happy to answer them for you.

Quick Overview

Fort Devens is located in Ayer, MA. There are multiple clubs coordinate events at this location. The four unrestricted clubs to run with are NE-SVT (formerly SVTOA), SCMC, BSCC/NESHOC and BMWCCA. Other clubs have restrictions based on the brand of car your drive.

Each event costs around $55 and will provide you with an entire day of fun and learning. BMWCCA events are slightly cheaper but the registration cap is much higher.

These auto cross events are unlike most. The courses are much longer and faster than your average "parking lot" course. Speeds will vary from stopped to 60+ MPH depending on your cars capabilities.

Registration

Registration varies based on the club you are running with. NE-SVT and BMWCCA both require a club registration fee.

NE-SVT and BSCC/NESHOC uses www.motorsportreg.com to handle their registrations.

SCMC hosts registrations on their own site at www.scmcstore.com.

BMWCCA also hosts registrations on their own site at www.bmwcca.org.

I'll put them all on the calendar over the next few days.

Gotta remember James, there hasn't been a strong Auto-X showing from this group for quite some time. John, Kirk, Ken, you and your brother is about it. The rest go and watch.

I know my POS won't last at an Auto-X and it is the only vehicle now.

Of course I remember. But since they attached the name, I thought I'd bring it up. What'd you do with the truck?

Will post about the demise of NESHOC autox, and the Bay State Corvette Club (BSCC) amicable takover separately when I get a chance - zak

Does it have anything to do with why the NESHOC web address has a minimum bid requirement of 1000 bucks? Like we would really pay that. I may go to the Auto-X and ask if I can but the domain name for 1 buck.

is it free to go watch, if so i'll be at every one of those

Insurance regulations for most of the private clubs, including BSCC and NE-SVT, do not allow casual visitors (I have served as gate attendant on both organizations events). The SCCA New England Region has different insurance, and actually encourages spectators.

Hope this helps - zak

Plenty of slots for BSCC Oct 2nd, I think many of the SCCA regulars who take these as test/tune don't do many of the late season events. Low enrollment means lots of runs.

Autocross is no different than street driving (other than tire wear ;)) except no potholes and you're supposed to go as fast as you can. If you think your car will break then it's going to do it on the street too. Might as well break it where there's help ;).

Invited guests are OK. Used to be that if you knew the name of the club running that day you were considered an invited guest :).

Cheers,
