Sorry have to say this..."um doesn't seem like its all put togather"

In seriousness you lost 4/5 and the gears, i'm better if i'm the one taking it apart, or physically see it.

Good luck hope somebody has some more experience than me.

Is it just me or does Steve have a knack for that line of work (cough icechest). I am sure you have a replacement shaft, but if you need one, let me know.

I have been keeping busy both at work and in the SHO world. Today I am finishing up a TriFlow cam job for a guy, and tomorrow I may actually get to work on Karen's race car after a year of sitting dormant.

How have you been?

Mike

Good so far. Busier than I'd like to be. Send me a PM with a price for a ring gear and main shaft if you dont mind. It wiped out both of them.

I thought there was something funny-looking with that shaft. But, as I know about as much about MTXs as Brittney Spears knows about quantum mechanics, I refrained from positing a supposition.

I know where you can get a replacement.

How did the picture get all yellow? It wasn't in the text you sent me.

 yes, I'll save it.

Next question. What the **** made it break like that? You can see bubbles in the casting where it was broken.

Chris: This pic was from Kikkinasphalt's phone. You got one from mine (go Blackberry!)

Steve was doing unnatural things to it. As usual.

If there are bubbles in the casting, it may have been a defect that's existed since day 1 but just didn't let go until now.

I was always kind of wondering this. I wasn't really doing anything out of the ordinary when it broke. Just shifted into 3rd @ 6500 or so.

could it be from tracking a car with a solid trans mount? and normal front and tear engine mounts. maybe the flex on the trans case let the shaft flex more than normal? idk just throwing out ideas.
