I've noticed that when I rev the motor hard (not hard enough to get up to 4k) that the engine will bog down then rev. It is really odd and I'm not sure what the problem is but it doesn't seem to be affecting preformance...but it might have been there since I've owned the car so I don't know. If I can capture a clip of this I'll post that too.

Little help please.

Normally, a slight bog right at the start before catching under a full throttle is caused by a mixture problem. The mixture gets too rich too quickly and does not burn properly. I think the computer is supposed to handle this by metering up the mixture a bit more slowly than a FT would indicate. Mine does not do this, so I do not think it is normal. You have the OBD module. What does it say?

The obd-2 module did not return any codes. I think I'm going to check what somebody else said today in another post about cleaning the inside of the MAF or at least checking it. stupid K&N

This maybe the cause of my problem. After that I'll try reseting the computer and see what happens.

Any more suggestions? I hope to get this problem taken care of before today is over.

I've never had any problems with my K&N panel filter. But I do have it feeding from a straight line of cold air in from the inner fender well. Are you still using the original air intake system? I tossed mine pretty much right after I got the car, so I cannot really comment on if the bog down might be related to the original sacs. But I do know I got a very obvious change in power from removing it and the one time I dynoed (after it was done, I never did before) it indicated I had gotten about 20hp from the change, assuming the supplied stock spec is accurate (got this data from the v8sho site).

Normally, I would assume fuel, but it might be air.

Well a couple of days ago I just screw this and I removed the stock airbox and installed a conical K&N. Seemed to help the problem a little but I ain't that worried with it now. Oh and someone forgot to warn me that the conical filter on the v8sho is LOUD! Everyone has to try this setup. It beats the **** out of the K&N panel filter.

I am into stealth, myself, and hence prefer the panel. When they never notice you, they do not ticket you. Going on 21 years ticket free (knocking hand on oak computer table). The SHO is perfect for walking quietly while carrying a bit stick.

Do keep in mind with the conical that you are now sucking warm air from under the hood. I think there are some systems out there that are designed to get a cold air flow into the area of the conical, and you might want to look into them. The colder the air intake, the better off you will be.

Since it is cold outside anyways I'm not worried about sucking in a little warmer air than usual. I'm going to work on a heat shield later on (when it starts to get warmer). Now about the loudness it is perfectly set up. Your going down the street letting the car shift just fine at 3k like it should when u'r not pushing it. Then you nail it to 4k and it growls and definatly pulls harder than the stock setup. Now one will hear you unless you nail it so no ricers picking on you (unless you want

) and no policey people worrying you. If I can get a sound clip for everyone with the laptop I will. It is just awesome to hear
