Okay, I suspect this is a warped rear rotor but is this something critical and should be taken care of immediately or is it okay for a bit?
Also, could it be something else or is it most likely the obvious?

When I start driving, especially after having not driven for a half day or so, I hear a 'squeak, squeak, squeak' coming from the right rear. Seems to be every rotation (squeaking gets louder as speed increases).
It is not very loud and goes away after a bit (rotor heating up? or road noise drowning it out?).
After driving for a bit, it is no longer noticable except when turning left, I hear it.

I have made a guess that it is a warped rotor. Anything else I should be concerned about and how critical is it?
Thanks

It isn`t necessarilt a warper rotor.I just replaced one,and it squeaked right away. There is a brake squeak **** you can use,but i have no experience with it.Fwiw, the rotor it replaced was warped.Eventually it developed a large crack across the face from the heat. That is too dangerous for me,and i will never drive with a warped rotor again.

I had a similar problem, and it was a siezed caliper. I replaced it, and it is fine now.

my front right is moaning, groaning and squeaking bad.....I thought it was a warped rotor, but then I noticed that when I first get in the car and drive it, it is fine. No sounds. Shakes when I brake, which definately means that the rotor is warped. After a hard brake, however, the brakes make major noise.

I am not screwing around with it anymore. 96 brake upgrade for me.

The only thing is that it is only when the brakes are not being applied, and only seems to be on one part of the rotor (meaning that it squeaks briefly, then for 3/4 of the rotation does not make a sound).

When the brakes are applied or I speed it, it goes away.

I would say it's a caliper going bad. I had the same type of noise. Only had noise when Not on the brakes. Changed pads on all 4 wheels. When I did the brake job... Thats when I found the bad caliper. One way to tell if the caliper is "sticking" When it should be letting off the rotor althe way is... Look at your inside Pad when you take them out. Make sure to not mix the 2 up They are the same Pad. Mark the inside pad some how. Now put the 2 pad together. Look to see if 1 pad ius much thinner than the other. If your calipar is sticking some of the time it will ware down the inside pad quickly. You should have nearly even ware on the 2 pads.
I also noticed that the brakes on my 94 sho were fine when they were cold. But the more I got on them the more noise they made when I let off.

Just a easy way of checking for a bad caliper.

My car did the same thing....I just replaced the caliper slider pins on each side (2 per side). Available at Autozone or NAPA. About $8-12 each and that did the trick. A lot cheaper than a new caliper and an easy fix. The pins get corroded and won't let the caliper slide back when the brake is released. Try that! Hope it helps!
