Am I missing it some where? Is there a way to just walk up to the car with IA fob in your pocket and just open the door. I had a car where you did nothing but walk up and open the door. Can the SHO be programmed to do this?

Swipe is hit or miss. I swipe from top and hold it in the middle. That usually works first try.

I use the flat front of my index finger to tap the pad a few times. Seems to work the best... and no finger prints on the black plastic

One nice feature about the keyless system is locking the doors with the motor running. If I have to make a quick stop, just swipe my hand over the keypad to lock. Very nice in the hot weather since you can keep the ac on. Also, I really can't stant the start up wait before the nav unit let's you use the backup camera.

Yea I am usually half out of the space before the camera comes on. I guess I will have to slow down a bit.

I find that a slow wipe across the keypad works best for me. But then again, my body electric flow seems to mess up most electronic things. Can't wear a battery powered watch, it dies within a few months and touch pads just don't work well with my "magic" touch.

I have started leaving the fob in the vehicle and using the touchpad for locking and unlocking. I think I have found the key to locking the door (with the fob inside). I use my thumb alone, instead of using two fingers to try and press 7/8 and 9/0 simultaneously, and get much better results. I was glad to find that you can lock the fob in the car with the engine running.

The major downside to not having the fob in my pocket is not being able to vent the car before getting in. Mother nature is going to temporarily solve that problem real soon!
