I am the second owner of my 98 and I have a horrible pin stripe that came with the car. I would like to remove it but am not sure of the best way. If I remove it will there be a shadow where it was and if so how do I get rid of it? Am I better off just leaving it alone? I REALLY dislike the stripe.

I had a detail shop take the nasty stripe off my 1997. Looks killer now. No hint it was even there.

My 92 only has a little bit of pinstripe left and I have yet to take it off. Where the old pinstripe used to be is not noticeable at all unless you get really close in the right light.

Use a heat gun, some Goo Gone, then have your local body shop buff it out.

Hair dryer or heat gun both work!
Goo gone works well with what is left over.
