trans slipping

i got a 97 sho. 2 days ago my tranny starting slipping really bad. it slips in first gear really bad and in reverse. the tranny started slipping when the heat got up to around 90ºf. the fluid and filter were changed around 7k miles ago and stop slip additive was put in the fluid too. any suggestions on what to do? i am going to take it to a tranny shop to get it diagnostic to see what they say

Nothing mechanical lasts indefinately, and just as manual transmissions need new clutches and pressure plates periodically, automatic transmissions need rebuilds also.
