I found a bad tie rod. Should these be replaced in pairs??

I'm presuming you're talking about the outer tie rod ends? If so, they don't have to be, but presuming they have the same mileage, you would figure the other side has similar wear. Since they're cheap and you're going to have to get an alignment afterwards anyway, why not?
