yup try to get a nice chirp out of second gear...while 'givin' er shiit! by this you will be near redlin in first, and your tach needle should pop back to where it should be. i have read some1s post with the same prob on here, and have also had the problem with my 91 ****** gt. its a fun and easy fix!

p.s. on my 93, which is auto anyway...there is a pin on either end...so there is almost(?!) no way to get it over there for me! not that i would want to or need to.

That happened to my Plus once during my first week of ownership. I took it easy for the next couple of days. I hit a bump just right and it began working again. For some reason the old Ford gauges like to get stuck way out in no-mans-land.
