I sold my 93 and bought... well I should say rescued a 95 MTX. Why do I say resuced??? Well One outer tie rod was bad, sway bar link was in bad shape, and the sway bar link on the driver side was just gone!!!! Lets not leave out the driver side rear sway bar link.... yup you guessed it.... broke!

I replaced both outer tie rods, and both sway bar links. When greasing one of the links the rubber houseing split letting the grease spew out. I am guessing this is a bad thing? Do I cough up the money and replace it and try again? I do not think I had got too much grease in there. Any advice is much appreciated.

If the grease just oozed out around the outside of the boot its fine. If the boot actually ripped bring it back to the parts store.

It ripped. There is a ring around it that holds it tight and the grease in. I wiped the outside of the boot clean to find it actually ripped. I will give the parts store a call and find out their policy since it's all greased up :| I hope I can get one then return the other one so I only have to have it up on a jack once.
