suspension interchangablity

how alike is the suspension/strut setup on a GEN 2 compare to a GEN 3???

The struts are very similar but they dont swap without some modifications. The sway bars will work across all years. The rear setup is the same except for some changes in the springs/struts. The front is different where the Gen3's dont have the control arm/strut rod set up.

The Gen2s have the most options for upgrades though: SHO Source

Look up the threads on the Gen III subframe swap. That includes moving all the front Gen III suspension pieces. It can be done, and has been done, with good results. It's not necessarily a straightforward bolt-on job, though. The subframe requires modification and there are other issues as well.

hmmm interesting.. now as far as just swapping struts, are there any modifications??
