I've noticed occasionally I will get a ever so slight squeak from my rear sway bar bushings on the 92. I have a 28 MM IPT bar with energy suspension bushings in there for reference. The bushings were just installed a month or two ago by Performance Plus since the old ones were knocking.

I called up Performance Plus today to schedule to get them replaced agian and was told that it was common to get some squeak from the energy suspension bushings when it gets colder out and to just spray some WD-40 on them.

Is this true? Sounds like a bunch of BS to me...

Yes, poly bushings squeak.

Thats why you should get TPR :****: :D

Car's for sale, otherwise I might... I'll just spray some WD-40 in there and see how it goes, I haven't heard it in a few days, just suprised me since they are brand new!

White lithium grease would be better. WD-40 would probably only cure it for a day.

I always install my sway bar bushings with a mice coating of synthetic wheel bearing grease :thumb:

Also, many people have gone the route of installing zerk fittings in the bushing mount to apply grease to the bushing.

silicone grease would be the best. Petroleum based greases or other petroleum based products will attack the bushing material over time. How much, I don't know. It all depends on how oil resistant that polyurethane is.
