It's a tad late, but better late than in a 6 foot deep hole like my dad always used to say.

On my way up to the infamous Wayland meet (the one that ended shortly before my engine spread itself out over US 31), I was makin good time on I-94 from St. Joe to Kalamazoo. The speedo was showing just north of 90mph. I was intently scanning the horizon looking for the familiar face of a state government owned Crown Vic when out of the corner of my eye, I see a silver blur keeping pace. Thinking it was just some tool thinking he'd avoid a ticket by staying with me, I disregarded....

..until I saw him pull forward and drop back. That's when I broke from the road and looked over to have a brand spankin new silver GT-R fill my vision. My mouth filled with drool and my pants suddenly became tight as Mr. My-Car's-Much-Badder-Than-Yours waved at me and blipped back two or three gears, dropping the loud pedal and promptly left me in a cloud of spent fuel, leaving me like I had just shifted to reverse. I watched as he disappeared over the horizon at what must have been well over 140mph.

To the dude with the GT-R...if for some strange, unusual reason you're reading this, now that i've got a 3.2 swap, I want a rematch!!

That would be awesome. I would have loved to have been there and dropped the hammer with him to give him a good suprise! Cool sighting.

umm... NO you don't:evilgrin:

I saw one on motorweek last week IIRC 400+ HP allwheel drive with the transmission and transfer case mounted in the back for balance:dribble:

iwantiwantiwantiwant

but for 70k I'd have more fun with a used Carrera:thumb:

Awesome car; GTR holds the record for fastest lap for production vehicle at the Nurburgring, easily beating out the former record holder, 911 Turbo, and according to the experts, is much more predictable handling at high speeds and through the twisties; you do not want a rematch as these also do a 0-60 in 3.2
I was going to look to get one of these until the recent $130 + oil prices.

More like upwards of 500 hp. No one could figure out why these cars were putting down the kind of times they are only having supposed 500hp and a weight of almost 5k. So a couple people have had a chance to dyno them, closer to 500whp, theys be just a wee bit under rated.
