Hey, I think I was talking to you once about a wrecked 94 or 95 automatic at one point last year but wound up not needing it. Good news was I was able to fix my trans with a free parts car, the bad news is that tomorrow its very possible I'll be told the subframe is bent. If it is I'll want to get another SHO and would consider this strongly if its still around.

Questions:

1-When were the shims done on this last if ever?
2-How bad is the cam seal leak? Is it something that could wait until it got warm again or maybe could be staved off with some thicker weight oil?
3-How bad is the heater core and how much of a pain are they to change? Does it have heat at all or no?
4-Rod bearings?

If I get the word tomorrow that my car is shot I'll be shooting you a PM. At least I'd have a parts car with a good 3.2 haha. If its already sold please let me know.

Thanks

Please PM. Cash in hand and ready to buy.

PM sent.

Too bad you're not closer. Sooo clean and love that stance. We have the same suspension set up but mines too high

Which is weird because an ATX should sit lower in the front then an MTX due to the weight. Then again, these springs have had alittle over 2 years to settle.

Yep, that was me.

I haven't done them, so consider that they've never been done

They can definately wait.

3-How bad is the heater core and how much of a pain are they to change? Does it have heat at all or no?

On a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the hardest, I'd rate it at an 10 for someone doing it for the first time. These 2 threads ( 1, 2) should give you a good idea of what your in-store for. The heater core is currently bypassed, so there's no heat. I never drove it in the winter, and it hasn't seen rain in over a year so it wasn't an issue for me.

4-Rod bearings?

No.

I really recommend that those who are closer, to come see the car for yourself. I rather go over everything with you in detail in person so you know exactly what you are getting. I can arrange to have the car put on a lift, but it'll be at your expense.

Well I am selling my 95 even though the subframe is ok. I'd like to come up and take a look at this thing if its still available but I work tues-sat so sun/mon are the days I can get up there. I also have cash and can buy right now if its as nice as you say. The heater core looks like a pain but doable while everything else isn't bad.

How is everything else on the frontside? Water pump, timing belt, alternator accessories etc? Obviously while doing cam seals everything on the front side gets done then.

I'm sure you don't have my # anymore, its 609-424-8886 if you want to call. Anytime is good, if I don't pick up just leave a message.

Still for sale? I had to back out of the blue one I thought was good to go because I wasn't comfortable with the noise coming from the engine bay and the smell of antifreeze coming from the front of the motor while running. I'm not doing the sight unseen thing again but I'm perfectly able to hop a train up to where you are to take a look at this thing. Let me know if its still for sale.

It's still here, although I haven't been actively pursuing the sale. This week-end may not work out. Let me see what I can work out.

Well I'm looking at a Contour SVT with an almost brand new engine tomorrow and we'll see how that goes. Still very interested in this if that doesn't work out but this weekend and upcoming week are no good since I have work all week and holiday stuff still this weekend. I'll let you know if I get the other car but I'm still amazed that this thing hasn't sold yet.

Yep, still here. I've been waiting for some warmer weather (above freezing) to replace the front DS strut mount which I believe are the source of the clunk I was hearing.
