hey everyone. like 2 months ago i did a clutch job and havnt driven the sho since. well today i put the new battery in and fired her up. After letting it idle i noticed smoke comming from the belt area. At first i figured it was a belt problem but then i realized the smoke was originating from the rear of the motor, near the back valve cover. i know there is oil in the plug well seals and the valve covers are bad. im wondering if this is just oil burning off, the smokes not very heavy either. any ideas?i dont wanna keep letting it smoke and cause more of a problem.thanks

It is probably smoke that has seeped onto the exhaust manifolds from the bad gaskets, and the fact that it sat and accumulated. Just let it run and burn itself off, and you shouldn't have a problem.

We had some "smoke" show up, it was the cam seal on the rear bank. If it gets bad the car can burn, from the oil getting on the exhaust pipe. Mike{shopartsnw} arranged to get ours fixed. Got it fixed by Kerry :thumb: {two hours and a $5 seal}

has a front 6o k been done? the cam seals, crank seal, or most likely the valve cover gaskets are leaking.
