I have a question especially for you Tuxexo Black guys. I have acquired a set of 20" SHO wheels that require light refinishing. If I were to refinish them to brand new condition (except for color of course), what would be your vote for color.

Tuxedo Black or plain Black?

Looking for opinions!!

First off you should powder coat them, as soon as you get rid of the clear the wheels will start oxidizing.. they you repaint them with auto paint and get a nick in the wheels again it will start all over.

Power dont chip and wont oxidize for a LONG time..

you cant get the Blue tuxedo paint in power so you have flat, semi and gloss.. Gloss will scratch with a rag wiping dust off, so if you go with gloss get them cleared as well .

I don't know, you have the advantage of changing them if you don't like which ever. I'm happy with these for the time being.

Guys, I don't need any advice on finishing...OEM finishes have been my occupation for the past 20 years......

this is simply a question....If you have a Tuxedo Black SHO....and you wanted to black out the wheels......

And on the shelf there were a set of all Black wheels right next to a set of Tuxedo Black wheels.....Which set would you buy for your car?

Thanks!

I would go with the standard black wheels because with all of the angles on the wheels, them spinning all of the time and how much metallic (glass) there is in Tuxedo Black, I think it would be way too flashy and tacky IMO.

I would go flat black but only if you are going to do the grille as well. Otherwise painted gloss black.
