So, i'm replacing my White Faced Guages and unplugged the grey plastic connector that connects behind the Light Switch. I noticed that where the connecters meet, the plastic is brown and warped.. almost like it had gotten WAY too hot at one point. Has anyone experienced this before? Kinda freaky because i'd die if i found my car burnt to a crisp some morning!

I found the same type damage to my daughters 95' slo while trying to track down an intermittant digital clock problem. Never did fix the clock but I was really surprised at how badly that headlight connector had warped and discolored. Anyone else notice similar problems?

when you say light switch, do you mean behind the headlight switch?

there was a recall a while back for the 93 model years and shorting/burning or just plain defective headlight switches

omg i just realized who ya were...

we met at a gas station way back when :D

anyway, i had similar trouble in my 93 SLO wagon pos... when you have the switch on, does it get warm at all to the touch? if it does, id suggest trying to find a replacement, dont want that nice sho of yours going up in flames like the exploder did in another thread.

OMG! Whats up J! Ur moving soon eh? How much longer in the area? Yeah, isn't that awful (the explorer??) Thanks for calling my SHO nice! A little over a year ago, i bought it in Showroom condition... now, from driving 100miles each day, she's needing some struts and some paint where the hwy rocks hit. Yours looks really sweet at the bottom of your posts.
