I need to replace the door lock actuator on my 95 SHO. I found a 95 SE in a junk yard w/ working parts that i need. However, i couldnt figure out how to pull out the door panelling w/o ripping it out. Obviously, i dont want to do the same to my baby, so could anyone help me in how to remove it? Is there a website with a step by step manual? Also, I need to figure out how to replace it? All suggestions are appreciated.

mine's a 90, so take this with a grain of salt.

2 (long) screws underneath rubber caps, philips. 2 more screws in the map-pocket along the bottom of the door. 1 screw in the trim piece that meets the a pillar. 1 screw under that.

pull on the map pocket -- actually, i know this sounds horrid, but give it a quick yank on the bottom, and work your way up, then lift up and the panel is free.

and stolen from someone elses post, and saved to txt file of my own, and then remembered and reposted here for you.

"while you can re-use the push pins, it's virtually impossiblenot to break some or all. Body-Tite, Ford 45682 is a pack of 15 exact replacements. It's about $5.00 at AZ. My recollection is that the door has 11 of the pins"

well from my experience, i would not just yank on the door panel. Ive tried that it it broke the plastic mounts for the push-pins. crutchfield.com sells a tool that is only like 5 bucks and works great. It is like a flat metal, two-prong fork. Allows for easy removal of most types of door panels. Ive used mine countless times on both my sho and my jeep.

Hi,
Asuming that you have removed all the screws you sould be able to get the door panel off by gently lifting upwards ... you will need to buy new push pins most likely that run $4.60 at Advance Auto

After the screws are removed, the door panel should be pulled out (away from the door) in order to release the push pins from the holes in the door.
