I have a 92 mtx that I just did a 3.2 swap in. I found a post on here that said all I had to do was pull the harness for all doors all the way to the the fuel pump..I did that in both cars (92 mtx and 93 atx) went to hook up and connections are different on a couple. So I pulled the other harnesses too. Now I have the mtx that has 4 connectors that go into the dash but the 93 has 5..I really don't want to have to pull the dash..anybody know what else is involved in this swap?? Thanks in advance for any info

there are significant wiring differences between the 92 harness and the 93 harness. been there, done that.

your best bet at this point would be to swap the dash. it will be less pain in the rear than figuring out all the wiring differences and splicing all the wires. you can pull the dash and swap the other in one long day. on the other hand, I have at least 100 hours into the wiring of the pcm into my 66 truck...

I really did not want to have to pull the dash..the post that I seen on here said that if I did it the way that I did there would be no splicing of wires or have to remove dash just the parking brake and hood release..on most of the connections between the 2 cars the wires are matching up but one more connector is not and I'm missing one connector with 7 wires

iirc, there are more differences than that. you will need a 92 wiring manual and a 93 wiring manual to do what you want to do.

Does anybody happen to have the pin outs for the 92 and 93?? I've been looking but can't find what I'm looking for..I can only find one but I want to make sure its right because its the post that said I can just swap harness and wouldn't have to cut wires..I would really like to use the 93 harness if I can..its in better shape
